Normally Closed Push Button Switch – Anti-Tampering Switch

For every company offering smart metering applications or other "official" measuring items anti tempering is an issue. Opening or tempering on housings must be prevented or an information signal needs to be send, if that happens anyway.
For this purpose, HARTMANN Codier introduced the PBH00S pushbutton switch, which can be used as an anti-manipulation switch due to its normally closed switching function and a long operating travel. The PBH00S is pressed when the housing cover is closed, so the contact is open, no signal. When the housing is opened (manipulation/tampering), the contact closes and a corresponding signal can be triggered.
Gold-plated contacts serve to ensure this function in the long term, even in the event of non-tripping over a longer period of time. The long switching travel of up to 4.7 mm enables operation with a spike on the housing cover.
